ABOUT US
Our Mission
Pneuma Christian Academy exists to educate students in a high-level academic environment based on a solid Biblical Foundation to develop them into Kingdom leaders and world influencers with strong Godly convictions prepared to effectively impact every sphere of society.
PNEUMA GENERAL PURPOSE
Pneuma Christian Academy, a ministry of Pneuma Church, Inc, is a Christian private school in Miami, Florida, that offers a strong educational program that embraces a Christian Bible based worldview.
As a ministry of Pneuma Church, Inc, Pneuma Christian Academy seeks to develop future generations by building up their minds and fostering a Christlike character. Guided by Colossians 1:28, we embrace our call to “. . . tell others about Christ, warning everyone and teaching everyone with all the wisdom God has given us. We want to present them to God, perfect in their relationship to Christ.” (NLT)
We, therefore, endeavor to educate children in the necessary subjects and skills from a Christian perspective so that children may become all that Christ has intended for the purposes of the expansion of His Kingdom here on earth.
We believe that education is a partnership between parents and school, and are grateful to the parents who entrust us their children’s lives and education. Pneuma Christian Academy is committed in this partnership as we seek to provide high quality education and spiritually enriching discipleship leading young minds to develop critical thinking through a Biblical lens. The curriculums we have chosen reflect our values and statement of faith.
Our History
Pneuma Christian Academy was founded in 2006 to provide parents and their children with a Christian-based educational environment as part of Pneuma Church, Inc. mission and vision. The ultimate goal of PCA is based on Colossians 1:28, “So we tell others about Christ, warning everyone and teaching everyone with all the wisdom God has given us. We want to present them to God, perfect in their relationship to Christ.” (NLT) We embrace a Christian worldview that informs the practice of our faith and the development of future generations of Christian leaders in all spheres of society.
Pneuma Christian Academy has grown tremendously since its humble beginnings providing children from pre-school (including VPK) to elementary, middle and high school students with solid education that prepares them to triumph in any setting.
We provide in-person and distance learning options to meet the needs of every family. Pneuma Christian Academy continues to grow academically by expanding our learning curriculum and educational components without losing our spiritual backbone.
School Culture
DEPENDENCE
We believe that we cannot do anything on our own initiative but entirely dependent on the Bible and the Holy Spirit, as we are instruments to express the life of Christ and establish our heavenly Father’s purposes on earth. (John 5:30; John 15:4-8, John 14:26).
INTEGRITY
We believe that we live in integrity because we are open letters before God and men to give real testimony and not be a stumbling block to the Gospel of Christ. (1 John 1:5-7, 2 Corinthians 3:2-3)
OBEDIENCE
We believe wholeheartedly that we must obey God and His Word as ultimate authority over our lives, and we must also obey the spiritual and civil authorities that have been established, except in those cases where the exercise of authority is against the truth of God expressed in the Bible. (Deuteronomy 28:1-14, John 14:15, 21:23)
EXCELLENCE
We believe in having a transcendental attitude in everything we do, striving to achieve a high level of quality and excellence in our personal lives and ministry. (Philippians 3:12-15, Colossians 3:23-25)
GRATITUDE
We believe in living with grateful hearts for all God has done for us and to manifest this gratitude in a lifestyle of love. (1 Thessalonians 5:18)
HONOR
We believe in honoring God with our lifestyle and giving each other the honor that He gives us. (Isaiah 25:1, Romans 12:1, 10; 1 Peter 1:14-16)
HUMILITY
We believe that everything we are and have comes from God and that we should serve each other with a humble attitude. (Isaiah 66:1-2, Micah 6:8, Philippians 2:3-11)
GENEROSITY
We believe we are called to manifest God’s love through giving generously, especially to the needy. (Acts 20:35; 2 Corinthians 9:8-14)
PERSEVERANCE
We believe that the way to glorify God on earth is finishing the work entrusted to us and we must be steadfast in fulfilling every task we undertake. (Hebrews 12:1-3, James 1:12)
GENEROSITY
We believe we are called to manifest God’s love through giving generously, especially to the needy. (Acts 20:35; 2 Corinthians 9:8-14)
